To insure your car at a price that suits your needs, you will need to begin by deciding what level of cover you need for your car and lifestyle. At AXA, we offer different levels of cover and optional extras to help give you the level of cover you need. You can then make the most of our range of discounts to help lower your insurance premium.

Why are there different prices with each insurance policy?
One of the reasons why insurance policies have different prices can be due to the different levels of cover that are available to match drivers’ needs. So, your car insurance premium can depend on the level of cover you choose. See below for details of our different cover options.
Comprehensive car insurance is the most complete insurance cover that we offer. With comprehensive cover, both your car and third parties are protected. As this policy type offers the most protection, it may cost slightly more compared to other policy types.
The second cover option for your car insurance policy is the Third Party, Fire & Theft insurance policy. This offers cover in the event of fire or theft, plus your legal liability to third-party's if you are deemed liable for an accident.
Finally, our last insurance cover option is a Third Party Only insurance policy. This covers your legal liability to third parties if you are deemed liable as a result of an accident. This policy comes at a lower cost compared to other policy types since it only covers third parties involved in incidents.
What discounts can I apply to my car insurance?
To help you lower your car insurance premium, AXA offers a range of discounts to our customers. If you apply for your car insurance quote online you will get a 10% discount. You can get a No Claims Discount for each year you’ve been claim-free on your own car insurance policy, up to a maximum of 75%. If another person in your household has an AXA policy you can get a 10% multi-product discount. So, if these discounts apply to you, you can avail of them to lower your car insurance premium.
If I want to add No Claims Discount protection to my car insurance, will this cost extra?
Yes, if you add no claims discount protection to your car insurance there will be an extra cost to your premium. The no-claims discount protection helps you protect your No Claims Discount in the event of a claim. In a three year period, you can make up to two claims without affecting your No Claims Discount.
