Van insurance NI is important in particular if you are using your van for commercial reasons, as it helps protect you against unexpected events. We at AXA aim to provide you with commercial van insurance that will give you peace of mind that if you experience theft, damage, or other unpredicted situations, we are here to help. We provide sole traders with the option of three levels of van insurance cover - Comprehensive, Third Party, Fire & Theft or Third Party Only. Each of these offers you a different level of protection.
What does commercial van insurance cover?
AXA’s Comprehensive and Third-Party Fire and Theft commercial van insurance will provide protection for your van and the van accessories, up to the current market value. This means that if your van has been damaged or has been subject to theft, we have you covered. If your van has been damaged, we will cover the cost of transporting your van to the nearest repairer and cover the cost of repair (subject to terms and conditions).
If your van has been damaged and the cost of repair is more than 60% of the vehicle value, we may provide you with a replacement depending on your policy and subject to certain terms and conditions. Similarly, if your van has been stolen and unrecovered, or after being found is not worth repairing we will pay you the current market value of the van and it’s accessories. Are there different types of commercial van insurance?
Here at AXA, we offer two different types of commercial van insurance, each offering different levels of protection.
Standard Van Insurance
Our Standard Van Insurance is our basic level. This provides you with:
- unlimited injury cover to other people
- €5 million damage protection
- third party trailer cover and emergency medical treatment at the scene of the accident
Subject to terms and conditions
Premier Van Insurance
Our Premier Van Insurance includes all that you get with Standard Van Insurance, but also increases your level of protection to include:
- reduced accidental damage excess
- no claims discount stepback
- cover for your windscreen and windows up to €300
- new replacement van – if your van is less than 1 year old and repairs will cost more than 60% of the vehicle
