At AXA NI, we want you to always have peace of mind on the road. To help ensure this, with all AXA NI van insurance policies, we include personal belongings cover for clothing or personal effects carried in your vehicle excluding tools, equipment, goods or samples, up to a value of £175. If these items become lost or damaged due to an accident, fire, theft, or attempted theft while you’re insured with AXA, contact us and we will assist you.
To suit the different levels of coverage needed by our customers, we offer tiered insurance packages. Read more about our van insurance packages below.
AXA NI Van Insurance Packages
Standard van insurance package, Comprehensive or Third-Party
An AXA van insurance Northern Ireland policy covers vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to and including 3.5 tonnes. This includes third-party trailer cover (while attached to your van, if you and your vehicle are licenced to tow same) up to £5 million third-party property damage, and unlimited cover in the event of accidental injury or death. Furthermore, we will offer you:
● Coverage for glass and windscreen breakage (can be provided)
● Under our comprehensive insurance, we will insure you for the loss of or damage to your van and/ or its parts while on/ in your vehicle.
Premier van insurance package
To complement the above, the AXA NI premier van insurance package goes even further to include the following:
● Up to £500 replacement locks cover on fire, theft and comprehensive policies
● Unlimited cover in the event of damage to windscreens or windows if you use one of our authorised repairers, excl. Sunroof
● Protected No Claims Discount for fire and theft claims
Optional NI van insurance add-ons
We offer our NI van insurance customers some additional optional extras with all our policies. Below is a short summary of what’s available, at an extra cost. These extras will not impact your no-claims discount if a claim is made.
● Breakdown assistance, incl. roadside and driveway assistance, towing, passing on a message and helping you complete your and your passengers' journeys
● No claims discount protection
● Van hire or replacement in case of fire, theft or accident
● Replacement locks, up to a value of £500
Finally, if you’re already an AXA NI car insurance customer, we’ll offer you a 20% discount on your van insurance with us.
