Our sustainability strategy
Our strategy focuses on expanding our responsible role in society. To achieve this, we’re concentrating our activities on a number of key ambitions. We’re managing and delivering our climate transition by using our unique expertise and products to support customers, and by developing climate adaptation solutions and services.
We’re enhancing our inclusive insurance offering by addressing protection gaps and developing solutions for under-insured populations.
To make the most meaningful contribution to the communities in which we work, we’re boosting AXA’s colleague volunteering programmes, and upskilling and engaging with key business and sustainability contributors.
With our dedicated philanthropic funding we’re empowering scientific research to improve lives and tackle important issues facing our society and planet.
This strategy is measured against our AXA for Progress Index to ensure we have a positive impact on society both now and for future generations in Ireland.

AXA Research Fund
Since 2008, the AXA Research Fund has committed €262 million to over 752 research projects in 39 countries with a key mission: act for human progress by protecting what matters through accelerating risk related research in the areas of health, climate & environment, and socio-economy & new technologies.
Academic institutions around Ireland are invited to apply for funding. Funding rounds open in 2025.
